Subject: [Team3S] was "troubleshoot my vibration!" now "1992 3000 GT VR4 for sale"
I think Dan and David were correct about the main prop shaft. I got it up off the ground, and it clearly wobbles. Not bent, just bad bearings. I want to spend time with my children, not working on the car, so the car has to go. I just listed it on craigslist.
=======
1992 Mitsubishi 3000 GT VR-4 147,000 miles. Factory red. Everything is stock with the exceptions of a K&N air filter and the radio/cd/mp3 player. This has been my daily driver for 10 years. I bought the car with 76,000 miles on it.
Known issues: The main drive shaft center bearing must be replaced. It causes the shaft to vibrate badly at low speed (0-20 mph). The car has brand new front CV/drive shafts, and a brand new front pass side wheel bearing. I thought that these were the problem, but after replacing them, I found out it was the main drive shaft. I can't put any more time into the car, so I am forced to sell it. Seats are worn. Also, one front speaker should be replaced. There is a small crack in the rear active wing, but the car comes with a replacement original equipment wing that was professionally painted to match the car.
The tires are in great shape, at least two of them are brand new.
Includes a good used wheel bearing, and both service manuals, as well as the cleaning stuff for the K&N filter.
$4,000 *FIRM*. Cash or certified funds. Serious inquiries only please.
